So you're having a baby?  Congratulations!  You're about to embark on that wonderful magic carpet ride of tiny fingers, toes, first smiles, and sleepless nights.  As a mother of two myself, I can assure you that baby's first year will fly by before you know it, and you'll be so happy that you took the time to capture their first few days.

When should I book my newborn session?

Because babies have a pesky way of showing up early, or late, and sometimes when you least expect it, it's best to call me at least three weeks before your expected due date.  Babies are photographed best when they are 6-10 days old.  However, don't stress if your baby is older than that when you come in.  I've photographed babies as old as three weeks, and still managed to get a few sleepy shots.

I don't want pictures of me - just the baby!

I highly encourage moms to prepare to be photographed.  I know how hard it is in those post delivery days, but I promise you, twenty years from now, you will cherish these images!

What should I bring?

My studio is fully equipped with newborn props, but if you have special momentos, toys, or items that express your family's interests or values, bring them along.  My style is usually along the lines of simple and clean, but I'm happy to entertain any ideas that you have.  More importantly, bring more diapers and bottles (if you're bottle feeding) than you think you'll need, as well as one or two pacifiers if you use them.  Again, if you forget - don't stress!  The studio is fully equipped.
